Counselling or Psychotherapy – private fee-for-service
No referral required.
NB: limited Medicare funded sessions available with GP referral – gap-fee negotiable
non-directive pregnancy support counselling service for a person who is currently pregnant or who has been pregnant in the preceding 12 months
Focused Psychological Strategies (up to 5 per year) for a person experiencing chronic medical condition would benefit from allied health services
While it is not essential to have a GP referral or Mental Health Treatment Plan to access private therapy with Bamboo Mind Consulting, it is recommended a good idea to request these as it provides a more comprehensive approach to therapy
It may be wise to keep your GP informed of your decision to access therapy privately. If this is something you feel would be beneficial for your circumstances it can enhance support with a ‘team approach’
Do be aware that Bamboo Mind Consulting fee-for-service is negotiable according to client capacity.
Other than those referred to above, mental health services provided by Credentialed Mental Health Nurses are, as yet, non-refundable by Medicare or Health Funds at this point in time
